Summer is like Winter in the sense that we all seem to have permission to slow down and relax. It's too hot or cold to really push too hard. We save that for Fall and Spring. Nature has a way of telling us when to do what. This is great if we tune in and listen. Spring is for starting something, Summer is for letting that something grow, Fall is for gathering the results, and Winter is to reset and start over. That's my short version anyway.
We get attached to seasons. We all tend to have a favorite that we grieve the loss of. I don't know too many people who are sad when Winter is over though. I try to embrace the season I'm in. It's not easy when I'm scraping the ice off my car in 6 degree weather. I think I'll enjoy my hot summer while it's here.
